Time Machine in Rome

I have been to Rome twice and am returning again in September. I have only found one time machine. It is halfway between the Forum and Colosseum. It is rather small, only one person at a time can enter. As I entered I found that it only took 5,10,20,50 and 100 euro bills. Given the unique opportunity I went for the 100 euro. On the Time Machine screen up popped a number of options, after a lot of thought and some apprehension I clicked on AD 80. You wouldn't believe what happened.....blinking lights.......siren noises.....and I started spinning wildly. When all was done to my horror I found myself standing in the middle of the Colosseum in 80AD at the inaugrural games. The stands were filled with 55,000 maniac Romans yelling and screaming for my hide. Out came 100's of wild animals which I was forced to battle, I fought valiantly and after slaying the vast majority and seeing the rest run for cover, 6 gladiators came out to finish me off. I really don't remember much after that except one guy they were calling Ben Hur was riding this chariot as he was charging at me. Out of the sky over the top of the Colosseum came this Delorean with a guy named Marty to pick me up. Believe me he got there in the nick of time and in a flash I was back home. The only problem is that my wife is still in Rome wondering what the heck happened to me. It was quite an adventure. Bottom line if you find the time machine and there is a crazy grey haired guy named Doc trying to entice you in be very very careful!

I'm going to be there with a guy named Marty, Do you think it will help?
I enjoyed your reply. You have a very vivid imagination! This Time Machine is also in Epcot. I, too, will be in Rome in Sept. Would love to see you go through this again. If I can't find you, is there any message you would like me to give your wife?

Cre8 - Thanks for the reply and the tip on Epcot. I am enroute as I write in hopes of seeking out their time machine so I an return to Rome to search for my wife. Does your friend Marty look like Michael J Fox? The Marty that picked me up in the Colosseum looked just like him and his grey haired friend had a striking resemblance to Christopher Lloyd. Be very careful if you encounter these two. If all works out I will be in Rome Sep 19-24 hopefully with my wife maybe we could meet at the time machine. Sorry I have to go as I am getting close to Epcot and my quest to get Back To The Future!

There was a lengthy article in the travel section of our local paper yesterday by R. Steves re a number of European countries/cities. In Rome he mentioned the Time Elevator Roma which serves up nearly 3,000 years of the city's history in 45 minutes in an air-conditioned theater. He said, "good if it's hot or you're tired." I guess this is what you are asking about. We have never been there personally.
