My daughters, who were 8 and 5 at the time, thought it was fun. Teenagers might not get the same kick out of it. It is an interesting introduction to Roman history but if you are prone to motion sickness make sure you get one of the stationary seats.

Agree with Grinisa. My 13-year-old loved it, but it was a bit bumpy. Good overview of ancient Italian history, but they completely gloss over the Fascist government and WWII. Definitely worth the time and money, but it is something to do at the beginning of your stay, not the end.

Yes the show is 45 minutes and before you are let in to see it, you spend about 20 minutes in another waiting area where you can play a trivia game on Roman history, sort of like "Who Wants to be a Millionaire?"

I think with teens it's o.k but i would not recommend it otherwise.I thought it was a joke myself. I was so dissapointed in the cartoon like atmosphere and the motion that was created was making me sick. I am not prone to motion but this really jars you. Then the "whips" at you ankles stung. Was it suppose to make you feel as if mice were at your feet? I forgot what the reason behind it was but my ankle stung all day.

kswl,
Dont know when you experienced the Time Elevator, but it was indeed( at the time 3 years ago) thin like pieces of something maby plastic, swirling at your feet, like "rat tails" probably in addition to air.I do know what i, my mother and father experienced.

They must have changed that part of the experience due to complaints such as yours. We were at the Time Elevator this past November, and there is only air now. It was a fairly nice show, not really cartoon-like at all, so apparently they have refined it in more ways than one. Didn't mean to offend you--in fact, I thought that, by using quotes around the word "whips," you were making a joke about it.
