Through Eternity Vatican Tour
Has anyone taken the Through Eternity Vatican Tour? The overview looks interesting and it seems that the guides are very qualified. I am a bit worried that the tour is 5 hours long...Do you think this could be overwhelming.
Thanks

The Enjoy Rome tour I took advertises a shorter time, but took 4.5 hours the day I did it, and we really needed all of that time. I don't know anything about this tour, but 5 hours sounds about right for a Vatican introduction.

I did the Through Eternity Tour 1/2 yrs ago and they were good. This time around we are using www.vaticancitytours.com, a friend of mine just used them in Rome as well as Florence and said they were great. We will be there on 5/24 and they are even getting the tickets for the audience with the Pope for us which will be on the 25th. Good Luck!

I did not use Through Eternity for my Vatican tour, but did use them for the Colliseum tour. I would highly recommend them. Our 4 hour Vatican tour with Context Rome was just enough time (however, crowds were not bad, and it was easy to move around)--and I'm so glad that I paid the money for a tour. Enjoy your stay!

We took the Through Eternity Tour in Sept 2004 and loved every minute. Our tour was at least 5 hours and you really need that long. Their tour guide was a young gentlemen from Ireland and he was so informative that we forgot about the time and really immersed ourselves in the history and beauty of this incredible place.

5 hours with a good tour guide will fly by.
We spent over 4 hours with our docent from Context Rome, and I don't even think we scratched the surface of what there is to see. In fact, our docent said that he could probably do a 4 hour tour in the Basilica alone (excluding the museums).
Have a good night's sleep and good breakfast before the tour (or easy morning and good lunch) and you'll be fine.
