I appreciate the advice. I feel like seeing some of the smaller, less touristy things is a good thing. Obviously I'm going to hit some of the bigger stuff, but its like when people come to NYC and go to Times Square. I never want to be that tourist lol!

I would also not want to visit the country of Morocco for a short time in the summer when the inside of the country can be blistering hot. I like the idea of visiting Spanish basque country for three weeks. Having a car would help to visit some areas. Rather than Morocco I would rather branch out to explore the coasts towards Bordeaux, Bordeaux and even parts of the Dordogne for short trips of a few nights.

Visit Istanbul/Sultanahmet
Istanbul is definitely a must-see city. And if you are into history, you better take a look around Sultanahmet/Old City. Many, many historical and mystic locations to see and explore. But I suggest, you better stay a day or two and I prefer boutique hotels. Much more cozy and worth the money.
Hope this helps

I must also say that this year Europe and last year and the year before has experienced VERY HIGH and unseasonable weather. In Lombardia, for example, on May 27th it was 28 c which is highly unusual. Here in Milo’s, where we are now, it’s been a solid 28+ for 4 days. That’s without heat index. Today it was 33. Locals say it’s never been this hot here and Morocco has had even higher temperatures.

We go next to Krakow, where the previous week they had snow flurries. And again hot sunny days with highs around 32-33.
We had packed for cold weather and were baking in our long pants and full sleeves. Lessons learned, just as you pack layers, also pack a couple of sleeveless tops and lighter pants. Also a sunhat, it takes little or no space! 😉

So, it’s the second week of June and you’re planning to go in July? Of this year or 2025? Because if it’s this year you’re WAY behind on planning and tickets. Your “itinerary”, as it were, is way too complicated. I mean no disrespect and I know what it’s like to plan ones vacation. Your eyes are bigger than your stomach, as the saying goes, but to plan on visiting Berlin, then Bilbao, then somewhere in Morocco and then Italy is really pushing it because unless you have a private airplane or the like it’s really just too much. I’d focus on one or two countries at most such as Germany and Italy, or France and Italy but adding Spain and Morocco? In three weeks? Even my wife and I, very seasoned travelers, wouldn’t even try to tackle that and I’m one who normally does a lot of driving or train travel on trips. Try paring it down a little. It will help.
No disrespect taken. Initially I was thinking about how travel in Europe is spoken about as so easily done, but I realize I threw too much out there, and appreciate the many who let me know. I have been to Spain before and regret not going to Morocco then. I know there is a lot in Spain, but I had really wanted to include Morocco in, but feel like so many of you are giving me good advice regarding the weather and time of year.
