Thoughts on Locanda Cà Le Vele?
Anybody stay there? I did a quick search on the forums and didn't find too many responses.
I've heard that it's great... recently renovated. It's in Cannareggio Est.. right near Ca d'Oro... good location?

Looks quite nice on this site. I don't know the hotel specifically, but know the area well. It's very near the Locanda Leon Bianco (www.leonbianco.it), where I stayed on my last trip to Venice. I liked the location for its relative proximity to the Rialto, yet with a quieter, "neighborhood" feel. I walked nearly everywhere, but it was convenient to have a vaporetto stop so close by for arrival/departure.
The Ca le Vele offers more ammenities (satellite TV, minibar, direct-dial telephone, internet connection, safe, air conditioning) than the Leon Bianco, and rates are very reasonable for Venice.
If you stay there, please report back!
