For a great dining expereience in Florence, with a young person (been there, done that) try Antellesi on Via Faenza. Very relaxed, simple, menu with superb special seasonal dishes at a decent price. Went there one night with 6 of my then 17-year old daughters' class mates on a school trip and they still treated us warmly.
