things in Rhonda

We will spend a month in Malaga. We plan a day trip to Rhonda. Understand there is a train. Can anyone recommend things to do and restaurants in Rhonda ? Hard to research and get current info, at least on this site. As usual, thanks.

It may be easier if you spell it right---Ronda.

visit the old bullring and its small museum, At one time, one could take pics while out on the ring. Don't know about today. The views of the great Ronda gap can be seen from the bridge.

A good guidebook or two should help! Consider the Rough Guide, which will cover train AND bus options for Ronda, things to do, etc.

Best restaurant in Ronda is Meson el Sacristan. Try the Suckling pig, 24 hours notice required. Food cooked in fired oven. Very nice Alhambra beer eur 1.50 per stubby. Not open Wednesday.

If you're interested in wine, you can visit a couple of the nearby estates. Check with the tourist office.

Pileta Caves (Cueva de la Pileta) can also be toured from Ronda, if you have the time. You can take a taxi from the tourist office., which is across the plaza from the bullring.
