Thank you for the pictures. I can't imagine they painted over those walls, so glad they found them under the layers. I will definitely be gong

No, those walls have always been visible. They just had to clean them up and restore them.

Another interesting shop to visit, not necessarily for shopping, is the Hermes store on Rue de Sevre. It used to be the Lutetia swimming pool.
And a drink at the Lutetia bar afterwards, of course..

Esp on Saturday nights when they have great live music! Thanks for the photos, Thin. We have a 10-day Paris trip planned for late fall; looking forward to seeing Samaritaine’s Christmas decorations.

And where are the crowds, Thin? Last time we went to Versailles it was in February but despite the cold, the Palace was packed. We had bought our tickets in advance which was just as well as the queues were huge.
