The London Pass

I was thinking about purchasing The London Pass..which offers free entry to over 50 attractions, discounts on shopping and food, and also free public transportation on buses, tubes, and some trains, and also enables you to bypass the queues at attractions. I was wondering if anyone else had purchased this pass or knows anything, good or bad, about it. Thanks

Most of the attractions are second-rate, and not of significant interest to tourists. Many of the best attractions in London are either free, or not covered by the card. I think if you work out what you would want to see without the pass, and then apply the pass to that itinerary, you'll see that the pass will actually cost you money.

Hi , This is my first post ,Apologises if I have put it in the wrong spot.
Wife and I arrive Heathrow 15.30 on 1st April .Our base will be Regents park for 4 nights .
What is the best way of getting around.
1.Buy oyster card upon arrival ? cost ???
2.Buy London pass today from Australia that get us in to attractions and travel pass.2 people - 131 pounds for 3 days
3.Get on/off open top buses (about 17pound)
Thanks

Max, you might want to start a new thread with London transport in the title. You might get your answers here but possibly more in your own post.

The travel option on the London Pass is massive overkill as it covers all of London plus the (slow) way to Windsor & a few other places.

Most tourists never go outside of Zones 1 & 2 except to go to Heathrow Airport so a Travelcard covering Zone 1-2 is more than enough. Alternatively a PAYG Oystercard can also work
