The EIffel Tower Is Bright Red!

At least on abcparislive.com at 21:34 it was!

What's up with that?

It was bright blue last week for VE day and that was stunning! It alternated from being bathed in the blue light to progressive dancing blue lights. What a sight that was.

And if it weren't the Eiffel tower and it weren't in France, it would be regarded as horrible kitsch.

I'm off to watch a Jerry Lewis movie.

this is the official site. the New year was in January that's the tower at that time.

The color looks normal to me, both on the webcam and in real life.

ira: I think the Empire State Building does a similar thing, changing light colors for certain events. So, if it's not an incredibly famous monument, it'd be horrible kitsch

Anthony, it looked normal during the daytime to me too but they light it sometime after dark. Which these days, doesn't happen until around 10 PM.

I was looking at it after dark (well, at dusk). It appeared to have the usual color.

Not quite the same thing, but probably nearly as vulgar.

Do they also do the blinky on/off thing?
