The Eden Project in Cornwall???

HI!!! I am in the very early stages of planning yet another trip to the UK for sometime in Oct. 2004 and I'm considering the Cornwall area, which I have never been before. One thing that keeps coming up in almost everything I look at is mention of something called The Eden Project! I've looked into what it is exactly and now would like to get other opinions on it?

Thanks in advance to any and all who wish to comment!

Well - I haven't yet made it to the Eden project myself. But everyone I have ever directed that way has come back w/ really glowing reports. It is definitely on my to do list next time I get to Cornwall. I am also interested in what fodorites who have been there have to say.

My parents went to the Eden Project during the summer (keen gardeners), but I was surprised to hear they were a little disappointed with it. They stated it was very interesting, but that there was not enough there to hold their interest for more than a few hours. Anyway here's the EP website which gives a lot of info:

Hi ginny -- We spent a very pleasant day last spring at the Eden Project. I think you could spend anywhere from 1/2 to a full day there, depending how strong your interest is in natural environments. It's large enough that it would take you a half day just to saunter through all the bubbles, and if the weather is fine, there are several outdoor cafes with lovely views of the gardens. We all (2 Americans, 1 Brit, all adults) thought it was pretty cool.
