TGV From Paris to Strasbourg
My mother and I are flying into CDG in Sept and would like to take the TGV to Strasbourg. Our flight arrives at 10:10 am, and it looks like the next train leaves at 12:54 pm.
Is there ample time to make this train without driving ourselves crazy? I've only been to CDG once, and my mom is older (although pretty mobile - walks on her own and gets around fairly well).
The next later train doesn't leave until almost 8 pm....I'll drive to Strasbourg rather than wait that long.
If it looks like the 12:54 will be questionable, we have no problem renting a car and driving (we'll be picking up a car in Strasbourg anyway).

ambage, is your plan to go through the Gare de L'Est station to Stasbourg or is there a direct connection at CDG that you are taking? We are taking the TGV to Strasbourg on May 5th after arriving at CDG but I cannot purchase tickets until 90 days before travel. I know there are TGV trains almost every hour to Strasbourg from Gare de L'Est. Deborah

DeborahAnn, thanks. I was assuming a train that leaves directly from CDG (per the RailEurope site), but I wasn't aware that we could leave from Gare de L'Est on a more frequent schedule.
How far is Gare de L'Est from CDG? Is it wasy to get to?
Thanks for your help.

ambage I'm trying to decide what train I should buy tickets for myself right now. I have until Feb 5th to decide so I can get the best price. I did this route, CDG to L'Est in Feb 08 so I'm using my experience then. Our plane from Philly was 1/2 hour late that time. I'll check my notes and find that information. I remember seeing a course between the stations that had less steps--we were not on that path
A taxi from the airport may be the best way for you and your mother. Deborah

Hi A,
Unless your plane is very, very late you should be able to make the 12:54.
It leaves from the TGV stop in Termnal 2.
Prices and tickets are at www.voyages-sncf.com for Roissy (95) to Strasbourg ville.
Look for PREMS fares 60 days out.
