Europe is not far from the Middle East, but it's also not far from the North Pole too. I also hear the North Pole is breaking up, huge glaciers are falling apart, so I am a tad worried we will be covered in huge floods.

Just discount a big chunk of the world off your travel list!!

<i>my family members' flight transited sanctions-targeted Iran</i>

Iran has reopen its airspace to international passing flights after a Malaysia Airline was shot down over eastern Ukraine:

To be honest, I'm more worried about travelling to the US where I never know who is carrying a concealed weapon and what he's going to do with it.

Yes, I guess so, but when you see headings like "Terrorism in Europe", it's too FOX TV for me. Sensational blathering, fear mongering. Considering how many people live in the European community who are not terriosts and who are not affected by terrorism. Are we living in constant fear?

It's like me starting a new thread: "Terrorism in the USA - We are scheduled to take a trip to New York in three weeks time. Am a little nervous about the city being on red alert since November 2001. What does everyone else think? Would any of you cancel your trip?"

Try and see it the other way round. What do you think?

I was just at Heathrow. Though we were warned about increased security before landing, I couldn't see anything was different. No lines at security, but that may be because it was early on Sunday morning. Just the same security check as always.

The title was meant to get people's attention and it certainly has.

Let's see how that holds up in the European Court. Our government announced the same in the Netherlands. Going a little further even in targeting also those who "glorify ISIS".

Winning the lottery in two successive weeks is more likely than being affected by an act of terrorism in a continent of 750 million people.

You may as well worry about your spouse Going Postal.

But if they do, London is a prime target. My friends, who are booked to go 2 weeks after us, are cancelling their plans.

Do your friends refuse to use the stairs as there's a far higher risk of them killing themselves on the stairs than in a terrorist attack.

Even if there was a terrorist attack in London the chances of them being within several miles of it is low

Here's how the 7/7 attacks affected most of the 8 million people in London

1) They had to walk home.

@Debbielynn, I was in London a lot during the height of the IRA bombing campaign. I travel to Israel quite a lot. I see it's already been pointed out that statistically it's just not very likely they'll be killed by terrorists.

<i>"Cameron announced that they are revoking all passports from citizens and residents who have traveled to Syria."</i>

BBC: August 31, 1329 BST

"David Cameron will set out plans to counter the threat posed by Islamic State militants to MPs on Monday.

In his statement the prime minister is also expected to announce plans to make it easier to seize the passports of would-be terrorists travelling abroad."

Precisely which American comic dreamt up the crap IamdonewithtringtoreadanythingwritteninEnglish has just churned out?

Or is he just incapable of understanding English?

No, of course not. Would you rather go in the Middle East or in Israel for a vacation? Europe it's safe, there's nothing to worry about, there are major problems in other countries.

With which he is going to find no end of legal difficulties in the details, and may therefore not get through parliament, or if he does will find the issue embroiled in the courts, at least in those terms. He no doubt sees it to his electoral advantage to have that sort of row in the run-up to next May. Who knows, we might even see a draft of the revisions to the Human Rights Act he's been promising for the last ten years.

London is not England, there are plenty of other cities to go to.
