The UK government prey on the fear of people just to justify their ridiculous US driven foreign policy. In many government owned buildings there is a sign at the entrance which indicates the current level of national security alert.

Pathetic.

Isn't it about time we proposed drone attacks on the local hives. Or just used F18s!

As I keep repeating, this is NOT advice to the general public to run around like headless chickens, it's advice to people who manage security arrangements (for government departments among others) as to what level of preparations they need to be at in order to let everyone else get on with life as normal.

.... Am a little nervous about the increased alerts in Great Britian. What does everyone else think? ......

You are nuts. And obviously have no concept of risk assessment. The most dangerous activity you will engage in during your trip is the drive to and from your airport. The probability of being injured or killed on the highway to and from the airport is many times higher than any terrorist activity in Europe. Think about it. You don't think twice about driving to the airport but your are worried about England.

Worrying about terrorism in Yorp is like worrying about a member of your family shooting you - except the latter is far more likely

I imagine the alert being spoken by Dubya. When He says "terrorism" it sounds to my ear just like "tourism", and all is okay.
