Temps in Sept.

Okay - I need to talk to all you Fodorites who get cold easily! I am the one who is wearing a sweater as soon as the sun goes down! I am the one looking enviously at all the beautiful people in their little camisole tops enjoying the ocean breezes, while I shiver in the corner! Anyway, I just need to know what to pack for September nights in Spain. We will be there from Sept 9 - 23 - the first week - Alicante area and the second week - Marbella. I am pretty sure daytime temps will be nice and high, but does the temperature go down at night? Do I need sweaters for the evening? Are the restaurants air-conditioned? Obviously I don't want to pack these if I won't need them. Only chilly people need reply!

You will probably receive many more responses if you repost with your destination in the title like "Spain".

Here's a chilly Spaniard Yes, temperatures go down at night and be prepared for some rain (yes, we don't have too much now but september-october is an usual time for some raining ). The restaurants are usually air-conditioned till November.
So, yes, bring some sweaters with you

Speaking for Alicante, September can be reallly hot during the day, but when night falls, it gets much much cooler. Not coat cool, but a nice jean jacket and a black cardigan will do wonders for your comfort.

LoveItaly- so random you would ask because I just bought a fabulous one on the sale rack at Banana Republic. $20 and it has pearly buttons, a waist tie, is made of soft soft (and synthetic, hence the price) material, and looks awesome!

The Limited has nice ones, as well, but really the best jackets are almost always at Marshall's or H&M. If you think you are willing to spend a lot more, Neimans carries Dana Buchman and Eileen Fisher. Ann Taylor also has some nice pieces. If you are petite, Talbot's.

Hi

I went to the Alicante area in the beginning of September a couple of years back and I found it to be nice during the day and at night. But I'm from Norway so I'm not really used to high temperatures Have you check out the weather stats on http://www.weatherbase.com? Feel free to check out my trip report on http://gardkarlsen.com/costa_blanca_trip_report.htm
