Taxi or Rome Shuttle to Fumicino
We are trying to decide whether to book Rome Shuttle from Piazza Navona to Fumicino Airport when leaving Rome or to just use a taxi. Does anyone have experience with Rome Shuttle? I have read mixed reviews. Or is there any other shuttle service that can be recommended?
Thanks

There are lots of reviews on Fodor's for Rome Shuttle Limousine if that is what you are asking about. There are lots of other services, but private limos like Rome Shuttle Limousine are more expensive. Taxis are set fees (48€).
There are two bus services, Terravision and SitBusShuttle, from Rome Termini. They are about 5-6€. SitBus has a departure from Piazza Cavour (behind Castel Sant'Angelo).
Your other option would be the trains. The Leonardo Express from Termini to FCO (14€) plus cost of taxi from Piazza Navona (Rome Shuttle might be cheaper depending on how many in your group).
You could also hop the tram (1.50€) at Largo Argentina (very close to Piazza Navona) to Rome Trastevere train station. Take the local FR1 train (8€) from Trastevere station to the airport. It departs every 15 minutes. Depends on how early you need to travel and be at the airport.

From the center of Rome the taxi fees are fixed. Last year it was 40E to the airport. Convenient and reasonable. The place you stay probably can help with the reservation.

What is the shared with other passengers shuttle van/bus service asking for I assume 2 people?
It's likely ~30e isn't it?
For 40e for up to 3 passengers (45e if the pick-up is before 6AM) have a private car and driver pick just you up.

If anything ever happened to go wrong with that private pick-up you always have a Plan B with a taxi.

These people were great to work with; very responsive, and absolutely seamless. We used them 3 times, in Nov/Dec, and the drivers were excellent. As mentioned above, it was EUR 40 for three of us (Campo de Fiori to FCO): Romeshuttlelimousine.com
