Taxi from CDG - 4 persons - 2 different hotels
We are two families (2 persons each), arriving at Paris CDG with the same flight. We do not have the same hotel, but two hotels (one near Rue de Rivoli, and another near Opera).
What transportation will be better for us from airport to hotel (I am asking about taxi):
- two separate taxis?
- one taxi, that will stop at the first hotel, then to the second? In this case, how will be the requested cost?

In places where we have done this (Zurich and Rotterdam come to mind), the driver stopped the meter at the first hotel, collected the fare, then reset it to the minimum before setting off for the second. Yet another reason why we take trains from airports to city centers.

Hi Valtor,
When our group of 4 friends visited Paris a few years ago, we had a very hard time finding taxis that would take all 4 of us, just for getting around the city without luggage. We usually had to take 2 separate taxis anyway.
Have fun!

Thanks Travelnut. My problem is not how us (these 2 families) will divide between us the cost of the taxi, but if will find a taxi to take 4 persons, and if will ask from the cost from airport till last destination (or he will ask each family to pay the whole cost).

He certainly can't ask each family to pay the whole cost, that wouldn't make sense. The driver will expect the total bill due him at the last stop. Taxis are metered in Paris, they aren't flat rate nor per person, so there isn't any way they could ask each family to pay for the entire trip.

I don't see how paying at the end would work. Will the surcharges for the fourth person and 2 luggage surcharges be deducted from the fare between hotel 1 and hotel 2?
Methinks you are oversimpifying. I think you should expect to be charged the fare for four plus all luggage to hotel 1, then for two plus the remaining luggage from hotel 1 to hotel 2. And since there isn't any way to pro-rate fares, the meter will start from the minimum at hotel 1.
