Taxi cabs a problem in Austria?

Does anyone know if the taxi cab problems that the Czech Republic has
are the same in Vienna? I have read so many horror stories in many different places.

I am starting to really get concerned. I have medical problems
that do not allow long periods of time walking. Taxis are a must for me.

Thanks in advance for your help.

I've never had a problem with taxis in Vienna, and I've never hear of problems like the ones in Prague.

If you are worried, you can ask someone at your hotel to arrange to have a taxi pick you up. At the airport or train station, just go to the taxi line, and you should be fine.

I try to, but it is impossible, since I'm living so close to the Theresienwiese.

The bad weather helps, cooling down the mood of those Italians and Aussies on the street. Didn't notice anyone peeing or vomiting or people fighting in front of my place so far.
But the madness has just begun...

Have never had any problems with taxis in Vienna. And only one in Prague - which the driver lost.

Taxis are all metered in Vienna - thus no problem to negoiate fares etc. most all drivers are courteous , taxis clean and many non - smoking. many taxi stands near to tourist sights , tranport hubs and can be called by phone.

Tus no trouble for you.
