What are the price ranges for the $$$ symbols in the fodor books?

It's probably explained somewhere in one of the first few chapeters - - and no doubt varies according to which book, in which part of the world. The price ranges vary depending on the area and the cost of living there, so <BR>at the beginning of each area, along with the historical background, etc., they list the price ranges of food and lodging.

Or more accurately these days, ? symbols!

Whoops, I typed in a euro symbol (hold ALT key, while punching 0128 on number pad), and it showed up as correct symbol on what I was typing, but obviously transmitted as a "?". C'est interessant!

So how do you make those euro symbols?<BR><BR>My computer shows a little square when I tried what you described.<BR>

On my pc, I hold down ALT key while punching, in turn, 0 1 2 8 on keypad to right of "regular" keyboard--not the numbers above the letters--then release ALT. Works on mine; anyone else?
