Swiss rail-help with printing tickets
Attempting to buy tickets from Geneva to Stresa on the Swiss website, ssb..
Going through the process it says tickets can be picked up at station, mailed or
printed online. Printing is what I want to do but when I get further into the ordering
process, short of making the purchase, it only gives two options, pick up and
mailing to the US for $44.00. I don't plan to spend $44.00, can pick up at station but
if we have to go through the time spent doing that may just take a chance and purchase
upon arrival (as some have felt would work in earlier post) Am I missing something about
the printing tickets online? Many thanks.

I purchased tickets from sbb.ch from Milan to Zermatt. I was given no option just before the final purchase. They must be picked up at a station. I did purchase them instead of waiting because they were a sale fare. 55 CHF per person

Probably you don't get print option because it's an international route. I have printed tickets for domestic routes. If you don't want to wait until once you get there (it can work, or risky maybe depending on the time), what scatcat did seems the best.

scatcat and kappa1---Thank you for your help. I did go ahead and order the tickets to pick up and also took the lower non-refundable fare, appr. $35.00 per person. It was so low even if something keeps us from using them we will not have lost very much. I also emailed sbb.ch and they verified I could not print them. Assume it is the international issue.

Hi All,
violetduck, I'm glad you got the issue resolved!
But just a word -- I've bought and printed tickets online for international journeys with SBB, between Switzerland and Germany and between Switzerland and France. So it may be the Switzerland-Italy difference that makes the ticket not printable.
Anyway, I hope you have a great time!

swandav, thanks for sharing your experience. It was just strange to see during the process that the tickets could be printed on line and then the option disappeared. Glad you shared that you have printed, makes me know I was not having
hallucinations!!!
