Swine Flu Italy

I am planning to travel in Italy from the 4th July to the 12th July and I would be staying in the youth hostels. I am worried because i will be staying with people all over the world. Is swine flu a matter of concern? I am confused.

I don't know where you are travelling from, but the swine flu virus has now spread to all parts of the world (a pandemic)except Africa, so chances of catching it will be just as high in your own country as in Italy. I wouldn't worry about it.

Are you sure you won't be spreading the virus,North America,Uk and Australia are the hotspots at the moment. If you are from any of these countries people will be more worried about sharing facilities with you than you with them.
Here in Scotland we have just had the first confirmed death from Swine Flu,albeit from a person with underlying health problems.
I would not worry ,just take sensible precautions like washing your hands as often as pissble.

I agree. Just take precautions...take hand sanitizer and use it after using public transit ect. And wash your hands frequently. You are likely no more exposed than you are at home!

I am traveling from New Delhi, India. There have been in all 30 cases of swine flu here and almost all of them are from people traveling from the US. But I guess I am gonna go ahead for the trip and take all precautions.
