Susan Spano Reports From Paris
Susan Spano, an easy-to-read travel writer for the LA Times, is spending seven months in Paris. She writes a weekly column entitled "Her World" and snippets entitled "Postcards from Paris." Both are available on the LA Times website at http://www.latimes.com/travel/ You'll need to register, but it's free. Delightful reading for those who love Paris.

I started reading Susan's columns when she was at the NY Times. Her current column has an interview with Michael Palin. My personal favorite from one of her columns - someone asked a 99 year old man if he had been to a particular place and he replied "Not yet!".

I never saw this when originally posted...
Spano fans (and "Parisio-philes"
will find it of interest to know that there are now fifteen installments, as of this weekend...
http://www.latimes.com/travel/columnists/postcards specifically... (still requires the aforementioned free registration)...
Best wishes,
Rex

Nothing un-American in her postcards. On occasion, in Her World columns she brings in politics and I think this is where people would disagree with her viewpoint. I've been reading her column for over a decade - I think she does a good job.

Just spent about an hour enjoying Spano.
Kavey just posted elsewhere a very useful site where you can get a fake ID to log in to sites: bugmenot.com
I had opted not to read old Spano columns because I didn't want to give LA Times all that information, but then found Kavey's post. It worked great!
