Suggestion for children's French songs DVD

Greetings,

I have been looking for a good DVD which has children's traditional French songs. So far, I have not had good success as there are English songs translated into French or songs which seem obscure. I am looking for all the tried and trues--Frere Jacques, Alouette, Sur le pont and some other standard French songs. If you have had good finds, I would appreciate your feedback.

Many thanks,
Robyn France

Hi Robyn, are you sure you want a DVD, not a CD? I can't think of a single DVD!
on Amazon I found this you can listen as well (a double CD) you'll surely find a few songs you know.(alouette,au clair de la lune, une souris verte...)there are 60 songs!

Thanks Corinne for your recommendation. I had thought that perhaps seeing children sing would be good, but will look at the cd you suggest. Michael, I am looking for a recommendation and we all know how to Google.

Take care,
Robyn France

You might check for the film "Les Choristes" and the related soundtrack. Both are beautiful.

Robyn,

I'll ask our French friends; with 3 kids they must know of something!

Super--thanks to all so much. We loved Les Choristes--what a beautiful film. Our little granddaughter is only 19 months old--she already sings parts of several French songs and of course I speak to her in French--so she is learning as we go along. I will check out the options suggested and will let you all know. Thanks for all your help.

Take care,
Robyn France

I don't know about traditional songs, but you may find something of interest for your granddaughter at the Radio Canada boutique: http://boutiqueradio-canada.ca/CBC/s...amp;lang=fr-CA
