What do you put Fabreze in to bring it because the store size is tooo big and that doesn't leak.

Room Freshner - the small pump kind you get in the auto store - 500 sprays, orange. Better than a candle as candles melt, color can get on your clothes.

Have seen the smaller travel friendly size at Walgreens or Eckerd's. But I put some in one of those travel spray bottles, squeezed out the extra air and put it in a ziploc.

A small tape recorder to catch the great sounds of the country and conversations we had with new Italian friends.

anything that leaks, stains or melts can be put in a plastic ziplock.
thus, candles & febreeze(which comes in sheets also doesnst it?) will not et on your clothes.
besides, bringing a room deoderant is not half as romantic as a candle
An extra duffle bag to bring souveniors home
Handi-wipes or something like that
A few cans of Pepsi ( cost 2-4 Eur in the big cities for one can)
First-aid kit
fingernail clippers
clothing that layers easily
My own sheets! Broke out in a rash from hotel sheets in Venice. I brought my own towels but the maid took them by accident.
Magazines in English to read while your feet heal from walking. Nothing in English on most hotel TVs except CNN.

A sense of adventure! I lost mine before I got there and was kind of nervous and panicked the first few days. Relax and have fun! What ever you are missing you will manage without.

jenna-"a sense of adventure" is bringing cans of pepsi to another country? if it is expensive, why not be adventurous and try something that they drink wherever you are?

Instead of hand wipes, drug stores now carry travel size plastic bottles of that antiseptic "Hand Sanitizer." Kills germs w/o water. Works great!

Dawn, it would be difficult to find OTC meds to cure a severe sinus infection here in US, also; generally an antibiotic is needed, and no way w/o a Rx.

That hand sanitizer may work just fine, technically, but after I use it I still feel dirty -- my hands are now covered with dead germs, and all the other grime that was there in the first place, still. Ick! I'll stick with the Wash-n-dris.

Actually, just read that the "no water" or gel hand sanitizers DON'T kill all the germs like the cloth type sanitizers with alcohol.

Coke,

I happen to enjoy a cold Pepsi. All the sodas available cost the same, about 2-4 Eur depending on where you are. I was just sharing something that I happened to be slightly bothered by when I was in Italy. I cannot imagine why people feel a need to reply with something mean to the smallest thing. If you must know I also have quite a few food allergies and must stick to familiar foods no matter where I am. Is this okay with you? Are you satisfied?

I agree! Why do people have to be so rude. I was always taught there is no dumb question! I guess some people have such a low opinion of themselves that they have to put other people down.

calm down-when someone advocates being "adventurous" while claiming to take their pepsi with them on a trip to europe-it does make one wonder and want to remark on it.maybe instead of being wounded by every little remark someone should be a little less sensitive, since this is a public forum and we are not all best friends.
