Stu Dudley I need your advice on trip to provence

We are two agile senior couples flying ito Nice June 16.for one week one couple will be flying to Rome June23. We will then head up to northen France & return to UK June 29 for our flight back to US. My DH & I have been to Provence before. We would like rent a Gite /appartment so thet we could spend 2 days to visit Nice ,Monaco. I like your Idea of Luberon & your "Lavender route" if you could tell me where it is posted would like to go to Aix & Avignon . so if you could advise us of a website where we could rent a gite. it is O K if you e-mail me .also please advise if Marselles Or Nice would be the the best departure point for our friends to dep for Rome , Thank you .

Jean, I am obviously not Stu but I think this is the site that he told me about a while back. Just to get you started until Stu checks in:

Busy today

I will e-mail you my Cote d'Azur & Provence itinerary and also my write-up on renting Gites in France. Better hurry - Gites in Provence sell out fast. We resered our Gite in Provence about May last year.

Hi Stu - sounds like you're a traveler with some expert advice. Great! I'm heading to Monaco in a couple of weeks. Staying at Le Meridien Beach Plaza c/o a business trip. We'll have about 4 days to spare. BF likes museums, I like shopping. So, we'll do a little of both. I've always wanted to go to Provence, so that's on my list. Any other suggestions? Should we take trains or rent a car? Any insight is appreciated!

Many thanks,
Ruth

e-mail me at [email protected] & I'll send you my 20 page itinerary on the Riveria & Provence.

Best museums & shopping are in Nice on the Riveria. You can get there easily from Monaco on the train. Provence is best seen by car.
