Vegetarian Eating Guides

Dear all,
Recently I read the ongoing thread of Guides e.g. Eating and drinking guides exemplified by 'time out' and the like.
We will be travelling to London, Paris and Switzerland-[Bern, Luzern, Zurich, B.O. and Lugano, may be Pontresina]in May 2007.
Is there similar guide for vegetarians? [No fish as well. No problem with Dairy products].
It would be a great help if some veteran on Fodors throw some light on this issue.
Thanks,
kamlesh.

Switzerland can be very vegetarian-friendly (vegan is a different issue, because dairy is so much a part of the national cuisine). In Zürich, Restaurant Hiltl is a much-loved, well-established vegetarian place:

We have traveled widely in the Berner Oberland, and everywhere there are good vegetarian options on the menu. Even in the highest Hütte, if hiking, they will have Rösti mit Ei (fried potatoes with egg) or mit Käse (with cheese). Cheese fondue is vegetarian, and there are manaysaldas, pastas, and pizzas to satisfy the vegetarian palate. You can always ask the waiter, "Ist das vegetarish?" if you have any doubts.

There is also a good guide to (spicy) vegetarian restaurants all over Switzerland in this brochure, which is aimed at Indian film crews filming in Switzerland:

Thanks Travelnut. I have found the guide you mentioned. it's really good. London's also a good one.
Enzian, Thanks for both the links and relieving our anxiety.
