STRAND PALACE in London?
Has anybody stayed in the Strand Palace lately? I was there 10 yrs ago, and it was a dump, with a lobby like a zoo. Now I hear it's refurbished, so maybe it's a lot nicer. Anybody know? The location's great--across from the Savoy.

You say the position's great, the Savoy I never feel is in a good postion unless, you're a lawyer, or love Covent Garden.
Mayfair/Knightsbridge/Kensington are, in my opinion much more favourable areas.

As you say the Strand Palace is in a good location,easy access to Trafalgar Sq,Westminster,London Eye,theatreland,Charing Cross station waterloo station,embankment,covent garden.Also several main bus routes go right passed the door.After the refurb,this is a good middle ranged hotel.
