My 21 year-old son will be on a Summer Internship in Zurich starting mid-May 2010 and will be staying at a youth hostel arranged by the University. He and I plan to travel together to Zurich, 10 days ahead of his work start date, drop off his luggage containing business clothing, then take the train to Italy for 7 days. Any suggestions on what to do with his luggage?

There is a left luggage office at the airport. It is in the shopping mall area on the top floor.

There is a link on the side of the page, under the "documents" section. For anything larger than hand luggage, it is CHF 12 for the first day and CHF 7 per day after that. So, CHF 54 for 7 days.

I've used this luggage storage service as well - it's very convenient and easy to use. Not cheap (cost us 106 CHF for 14 days), but that's Switzerland for you.
