Luggage storage in Zurich?

Has anyone been through Zurich lately to know if there is luggage storage available at the airport or connected train station? I have read that some cities have closed theirs. I would like to know about Zurich specifically, and yes, I did do a search before I entered this post. PJK

Hi PJK,

Yes, there is luggage storage at the train station in the airport's basement. Go down to the 2d basement level and it's just down from the ticket counters. It's a check/storage counter, not lockers (lockers available for 24 hours only). The fee is 5 chf/day.

You can get a map to direct you to the area at www.unique-airport.com (the airport management company is called "unique&quot. Go to "Partners" and then go to the downloadable brochures -- pdf format. Lots of info. May take some time to download.

We also are concerned about left luggage facilities at the Zurich airport. We are touring by bike and must leave some things at the airport. I just got off the phone with AA's desk and they advised only lockers are available but the Unique site does show a left luggage department. I hope some one gets back with the straight skinny. We are leaving 5/24 returning 6/14. If we return before you depart we would be glad to tell you our experience, will you do the same please?

Hello Richard,

I've been through the Zurich airport a lot over the last few years, and I've used the luggage service -- both to check and to store -- often. I was last at the Zurich airport in Nov 2002, and the service was still being offered.

If you are really concerned, though, you might want to invest the money and call the airport. You can find the phone numbers at the site I posted, and I'm sure someone there will speak English.

If you do call, please let us know what they say.

Hello again Richard,

I downloaded the pdf brochure some time ago, and I just consulted it. On page 21, it says, "Leave your baggage for a fee. Daily between 6 am - 10.30 pm. Tel. 043 816 3500."

Hope this helps!

Hello to you Swandav2000
I found an old website address that took me directly to passenger services, called the left luggage desk directly and yes indeed they are in operation, leave anything "for a day, a week, a month".
