Staying in Trebic ?

Has anyone stayed in Trebic and done day trips from there to Cesky Kumlov, Telc, Brno, etc. ? Where ? Advantages / disadvantages ? We plan to be in CZ this summer...

Where's Trebic?
Would you consider Tabor? Buchlovice?
We've stayed at some excellent pensions in those towns.

Trebic is on the main train line between Prague and Brno. About 30 km east of Telc, 70 km west of Brno. Not noted as a "tourist" destination.

What are the advantages of the train instead of a bus in the Czech Republic ?

Can't help you there, never took either. Just drove the car (which was, to me, surprisingly easy).

From Prague to large cyties is better bus. Train is better if you need to change often. Shedulle of trains is comprehensive guide to travelling.
