Generally Best Westerns in Europe are very good. They are smaller hotels with lots of local color, just what I like.

The most common way of travel from Naples to Sorrento is the Circumvesuviano commuter train, which leaves from the basement of the main Naples train station. Private car might be quicker depending on the traffic, and there's also a boat between the two. I don't know which is the quickest, depends on where you start from. And which is the best is a matter of opinion.

your hotel in sorrento is outside of town and half way to Massa Lubrense, you will need to take the bus or hire a taxi to get to your hotel from Sorrento.

The Hotel Piccadilly is far from the center of Rome and in an area that is not very pleasant and possibly not very safe.

The only Best Western that is in a reasonably good location is the Hotel Mondial, but most frequent visitors to Rome avoid the Termini area in favor of something in the historical center.

Cant remember the name of the BW we stayed in Rome - 2mins walk from Termini. It was supposed to be a 4* but it was more like 2*. The most uncomfortable single -shoved-together- beds and a thin dirty carpet on the floor.
We had a BW hotel in Naples too and the room was so small -the bathroom was smaller than a ships cabin en suite.

We took the train from Naples to Sorrento (with a stop in Pompei) and the ferry from Sorrento back to Naples. Enjoyed the ferry very much as the train ride was a bit scary (pickpockets) and very hot...

I don't know of the two hotels you selected but I do know that the posters here are very knowledgable- I would trust what they reported.
