also forgot to mention that the latin quarter is very over rated...bunch of drunk and loud people (bit of a stereotype, but it's close to the truth). go there one evening but don't stay there. it's tooo touristy. you miss the real flavor of the city. btw, it's the best western bergere that i stayed at $100 3 star and very clean (included a very nice breakfast, but there were so many bakeries around that i didn't care). also to let you know i actually switched hotels while in paris from the 1st to the 9th because i realized i wanted to see the stuff in the 1st but not be near it.

Here is a second recommendation for the Hotel Bonaparte at 61 Rue Bonaparte, 115E dbl w/ bkfst and AC. Large room 135E.
We shall be staying there again this Spring.

Is it just me or do others feel that Paris is one of the best Major cities in the world to find great lodging at fair prices?? Maybe I just Love Paris.....but I do find that rooms are a little bigger & brighter in Paris than let's say, London or NY?
