Stansted Airport to London

Any suggests on the easiest, most economical way to get from Stansted Airport to the Green Park station in London??

Someone might know a better way, but for one of the cheapest ways I'd say take the www.NationalExpress.com bus or the www.Terravision.it bus from Stansted to Victoria, and then take the tube the rest of the way. It looks like Terravision is cheaper by a few pounds than National Express, particularly if you buy the ticket online. In fact, it looks like you could get the ticket for 5 pounds, and then take the tube for about 2 pounds.

Both the bus routes involve a lengthy walk to Victoria tube station, which I certainly wouldn't want to do with bulky luggage. Hailing a taxi from the bus stops will just about wipe out the saving over the train.

The Stansted Express train has a relatively painless interchange at Tottenham Hale with the Victoria tube line, which then goes straight to Green Park.

But if one's luggage isn't bulky and one is reasonably fit, the walk to the tube from the wherever the bus stops, which is about two blocks and some stairs, is quite doable.

The EASIEST is to have a driver come pick you up. And it can be cost-competitive with four or more travelers together.

Best wishes,

I opted for the National Express bus, which dropped me at Victoria Station and I grabbed the Piccadily line to Green Park... it wasn't so bad, but I definitely wouldn't have wanted to have done the trip durning rush hour!

This information is very helpful to me, too. The last time we flew Ryanair it was from Glasgow in 2002. The Stansed airport was undergoing major renovation at that time and was quite confusing. We had a car meet us because we had a family party of five. This time, with just two, I would like something more economical. Thanks for the helpful information!

National Express is the way to go....simple and cheap. I just did this a few weeks ago. Luggage might be your only problem. Depending where you come in at Stanstead....you'll do more walking there then you'll do taking the tube!!!
