I am resurrecting this old thread in lieu of starting a new one.

I will not be in Paris on Saturday or Sunday but would like to hear the organ at this church. Is it possible to do so during the week, or only on the weekends? I will be there the week of April 20.

The next concert is April 26 which is a Sunday. I have to agree with one of the posters above that it is not only the organ but the organist and the music selection. I attended 2 concerts at St-Sulpice and loved one of them but didn't like the second concert as I was not a fan of the music.

Stop by the church and check to see if there are any other concerts/recitals/practices during the week you're there. There's a free-standing notice board in right aisle about half way to the altar. As you're walking down the aisle look to the left.

adrienne, thanks for posting. We'll be in Paris on April 26. Do we need to get tickets for the concert or can we just walk in? If so, how far in advance do we need to arrive?

Hi Mariarosa,

No tickets are needed. It's first come, first seated but since it's a large church there are many seats. I would get there about 20 minutes before the concert to sit in the nave. Although if it's a rainy day there may be more participation so perhaps 30 minutes before would be good. You can put a jacket/sweater over your chairs and then look around the church before the concert.

Super! I'm so excited. I grew up Catholic and organs have always given me goosebumps. Wait until DH hears I'm taking him to an organ concert. He already thinks I'm overplanning.
