There are many places in Eygalieres, a few to mind,
Bistro de Eygalieres that has rooms,
Auberge de provencal, not as nice but I love the owners,
The Mas de Pastre,
and there are several more you can google but these I know and have stayed a, t plus another called Romallins or something like that that is also owned by the Pasre. one year we stayed there when Pasrtre was booked. It's in a great location behind the main street of Eygaliers.

I would stay at La Riboto de Taven..IF you are lucky enough to get a spot. I always stay there..even drove over from Villefranche sur Mer for 2 nights. It is beautiful, excellent dining. Completely removed from the tourist part of Les Baux. Beautiful drive into St. Remy, via the back way..the D27.
Maussane les Alpilles is a great place. Many restaurants, as Pat said. Also the popular Bistrot du Paradou in the area.
Depends what you are looking for...hands down for me to spend my time at La Riboto de Taven!!

Thanks to all for your suggestions. After several "Sorry, but we are full" email responses, we were lucky to find availability at La Maison Domaine de Bournissac - and took it based on the comments and experiences here. Based on your comments about the food there, we have also made reservations for dinner on our first night. All of you have been extremely helpful and made our trip planning less stressful. Leaving in 10 days...better start packing!

Stephk: you will be very happy with la maison a Bournissac, so don't feel as if you've "settled for less". The view as you pull up to the main house is just breathtaking, and perhaps your room will have the same view. In any case, the bedrooms as well as the common areas are uniformly charming. Dinner in the garden courtyard is a real treat. Have a great time, EJ
