Thanks for the suggestions! I honestly didn't mean to stir up anything, just wanted, and appreciate the suggestions. We won't plan on a big celebration and will look for local fun wherever we might be.

Try to get to Dublin, that's your best bet for a decent St. Patricks Day, good (not great) parade and lots of fun and live Irish music in the pubs (they get very crowded)...but as others have suggested, dont expect the Dublin festivities to be as grand a scale as Boston, New York or Chicago.
