St. Mortiz or Mont Blanc

Would you recommend both of the above to visit, or one or the other?

It depends on the season and what you want to do. Cost might also be an issue. Switzerland tends to be much more expensive than France.

Then it depends on your itinerary. If you are in the Provence, the Mont Blanc and the French Alps in general are much closer; if you are in southern Germany, St. Moritz and that section of the Swiss Alps will be closer.

We plan to travel from Geneva to Maggiore through Chamonix/Mt Blanc. Our question is whether The Berina Express is still worth the hassle of traveling from Maggiore or whether the sights are comparable. Thanks

If you do decide on St-Moritz, we were so glad we followed our Swiss friends advice and stayed nearby in lovely Pontresina instead of in the not so lovely, concrete filled St-Moritz itself.

Not knowing your mode of travel around the Mont Blanc area and having never taken the Bernina Express, I am not in a position to give an answer.

If "sightseeing" includes a lake, St. Moritz has it. But if "sightseeing" means high mountains, in St. Moritz you are looking at 3000m plus peaks from 1800m while in Chamonix, you are looking at 3700m plus peaks from the 1000m valley floor.

Yes, you should do both, if you have time and budget. Also you can do all others, Zermatt, Berner Oberland, etc. This I say without knowing your time and budget...
