Special Exhibits in Paris Feb 15-21
We are traveling to Paris Feb 15th and departing the 22nd. Wanted to know if anybody knew of any special exhibits, specifically art (old masters), art history, or Napoleon & Josephine during that time.
I believe the Whistler/Monet special exhibit just closed? Is the Orangerie open yet? Will there be anything in the Petit Palais or Grand Palais during this time?
Is it possible to tour the Palais de Luxembourg?
We will be staying at the Hotel Michelet Odeon, any recommendations for budget dining?
Thanks in advance.

You may find some help at
http://www.rmn.fr/index-gb.html.
In November, I saw an exhibition around the painting of the crowning of Napoléon at the Louvre, but that may be over now. I also saw a Veronese exhibition at the Luxembourg Palace, but that, too, may have closed.

The exhibition on Napoleon in the Louvre closed. So did the T/W/M.
But the David painting should be on view.
Check, also, the Economist.com website Cities Guide to find out what'll be happening. There was an exhibition on Veronese the Profane at Musee du Luxembourg, but I don't know if that's still open. Not quite an old master, but maybe close enough for you.

You can also check out www.whatsonwhen.com and buy a Pariscope from any kiosk when you get there for detailed info on what's happening all over the city.
