Southwest France sites??

I'll be traveling from Nice, where I'm finishing a Masters Program this summer, to a village outside of Albi. I have 3 or 4 days before I can actually check-in to the little B & B at Albi, so I need ideas for that region, as I know nothing about it. Caves? Chateaux? It's the only region in France that I've never visited. Thanks in advance for your help! (I'm a new fodorite, this is first posting).

Rouffignac (Cave of the 100 Mammoths)- great
Lascaux II- super.
Castle Beynac very informative about what a castle is really like. gorgeous views of surrounding countryside.

Albi itself is a very interesting town to visit, with a massive cathedral that looks like a fortress. And there's the Toulouse-Lautrec museum too. You could also pay a visit to Toulouse.
