I'd be interested to hear responses to this, too. My fiance and I will be in Sorrento for three nights on our honeymoon at the end of September.

Thanks,
Erica

It's outside of Sorrento, but the restaurant at Hotel Il Nido is wonderful and reasonable.

We enjoyed Ristorante Caruso; favorite restaurant was Il Buco.
They might be a little more than you would want to spend(can't remember exactly). Check out Gelateria Davide.

For delicious bargain takeway, or eat at the counter--Bar Rita on Via corso, nr Piazza Tasso. Open til midnight 6 inghts a week. Friendly service. You can get meatballs, rice balls, cheese, rolls, pastries, small casserole type stuff, at very low prices--liek one euro for a huge rice and cheese ball. Had dinners from there (heated at our apt) twice.

What about restaurants on Via Capo? Are there any good (but not too expensive) restaurants with views over the bay aside from restaurants within hotels?

Several years ago we (five couples) enjoyed Ristaurante Tasso. It's just off Piazzo Tasso so conveniently located.

I remember it as being nice but rather casual with a big menu, including pizza.

Have a wonderful trip.
