Some guy's website with great photos

I was surfing around for info on Venice, and found this guy's website. He takes great pics!

Scroll down to the bottom, and you'll have a choice of pics from Italy, France, Switzerland, Egypt and Israel to view.

They are very nice. Did you catch the one of the cruise ship!

His favorite is mine, too. "Along the Canal" bottom left. Wonder where it is?

We will be in Venice the end of the month.

Ronda - I believe the photo you like is of the Fondamenta Bragadin in Dorsoduro. I was there a few weeks ago and walked along that canal; it's one of the few that directly link the Grand Canal to the Giudecca Canal.

Ronda, the good news is that you'll see many sights in Venice just as beautiful as the one you like. My experience was that every corner you turned was another photo op!

If you want to see more pictures, check out Virtual Tourist (www.virtualtourist.com) Several of us Fodorites have pages there, but just pick a destination and you will find all kinds of pictures (and restaurant and hotel recs as well).

Thanks all for the info! I haven't been very excited about our trip but all the great info I have gotten here is starting to make me ...well, anxious to go. I started packing today and we don't leave until the 24th.

I am looking at the web cam to try and get an idea of what the weather is like (besides weather.com). Don't know whether to go with summer or cooler weather clothes. Originally I thought it would be cold and was planning on taking my leather jacket but it still looks so nice there. Hve to wait and see what it looks like on the 23rd.

I am in Venice now. Yesterday was 80 degrees and sunny. Today is 70 degrees and overcast. Was supposed to rain, so I consider myself lucky. Is supposed to rain tomorrow too, so I reserved the Secret Tour for the morning.

Have been walking for hours and am now resting my tootsies that needed it desparately.

Found this internet cafe that is quiet and costs only 3 euros for 30 minutes, 5 euros an hour, or 8 euros for 2 hours. Will post details upon my return home.
