Call me crazy but it's just as much fun reading this trip report AFTER I've been to Sicily as it was before!

Rhonda,

I dont really know what more to say that I didnt write in my trip report. I gave quite a bit of detail on each town I visited, where I stayed and my impressions.

My own trip was developed and planned over several years due to a couple of work related delays. My interest in Sicily began when I visited Paestum. Loved the Greek Temples there and then heard that Sicily has more and better preserved Greek temples than Greece.

As I usually do, I started reading guidebooks on Sicily and reading TRs here. I got more and more interested, until my two week trip had to become 3.5 weeks.

Not sure how you decided to visit Sicily. Quaint town, good food, and a beach can apply to many places in the world. We cant tell you where to go and expect you to enjoy your trip. Maybe a tour would be perfect for you if you are not into researching at all. Rick Steves does a 8 or 9 day tour of Sicily if you want to check it out.

Buon viaggio!

I'm using this to plan for a future trip. I was thinking of going in late September into October, but reading your comments about the wildflowers and lavender has me reconsidering the timing. Thanks for all the details.
