The Chateau du Chaumontel, about 20 mi. north of Paris (accessible by train) in Luzarches, is a wonderful country manor hotel that has been converted from a hunting lodge of bygone years. The hotel is charming; furnished with antiques, very lg. bathrooms (and not just by European standards!), good food, and the grounds are lovely, also. It is a true chateau, surrounded by the requisite moat. I was there at Xmastime one year, and there were still pansies blooming outdoors. The town itself is not much, but you are in the vicinity of Chantilly and others places of interest.
Try http://www.chateauduchaumontel.com

I tried the website that I just gave you (from Google), and it didn't work either. Try it w/o the en at the end. www.chateau-chaumontel.fr It works, honest.

If I can't get the website down correctly after 2 tries, will you trust my judgment on the place?

Last May we spent the night in Beagency, a small charming town about an hour and a half from Paris. It was Victory Day and there were many ceremonies taking place in the town square and church. It was very touching to see the remaining veterans of the "Big War" turn out with their chests full of medals. We stayed at a wonderful little hotel called La Tonnellerie. Their dining room was lovely & food quite good. It makes for an easy ride back to Paris. I will definately go back!

I know loads of places outside Paris you could spend your time, but I won't tell because your grammar is so bad. So there.....

You could also try Barbizon, the impressionist painters village. It is in the forest of Fontainebleau and near to the chateau of Fontainebleau about oned and half hours drive from Paris. There are also regular train services to Fontainebleau
