I liked this post. I guess we can book another ticket, but it’s going to cost three times as much and be less convenient.

I've long thought airline tickets are an exception to most known rules. What else do you buy many months in advance (a product where they explicitly say they can't guarantee delivery of service) and getting a refund is either expensive or unavailable? I get so stressed booking tickets because I know that any mistake I make cannot be easily undone. I once booked family tickets to Europe (approx $10,000AUD) online and felt incredibly anxious. Yesterday I booked flights and within minutes realised I should have booked a slightly different date but the deed was done. I believe that in the USA there is a 24 hour I-made-a-mistake opportunity to change but not here. Apologies if this is off topic.

"I never managed a single booking with skyexpress and easyjet. I thought i saw one on the skyexpress website."

As I thought might be the case. So Sky Express did not book you through to Milan - right? Their ticket is Naxos to Athens and then you have a separate ticker on easyJet from Athens to Milan. If so, Sky Express has no responsibility to get you to Milan. Only to Athens,. Because of the schedule change you have the right to accept the flight they offered or cancel, get your money back and book something else yourself.

They are unlikely to allow you to change to the Rome flight. But you could cancel the original Athens flight and rebook to Rome at whatever the current fare is. Unfortunately then you'd probably have to 'eat' the easyJet flight from Athens to Milan.

No. Sky sold us one-stop flight from Naxos to Milán, the stop being in Athens. Booked with the airline and no partner flights.

When Sky, the airline with which we booked, rescheduled us to fly Athens to Milán without the Naxos to Athens leg, i started researching my options. I saw an option that included Easyjet.

Appreciate the advice but am not sure how to explain. Booked direct with Sky Express One itinerary Naxos-Athens-Milán. All on Sky. Sky changed it’s Athens to Milán flight so it’s at 7:30 in the morning and one can’t fly from Naxos.

Your last post (#23) doesn't match your earlier post (#20). So where does easyJet factor in?? I personally have never seen an easyJet bookings that combine with another carrier (unless by a travel agent forcing the booking). AFAIK easyJet's only partners are SmartLynx and Avion Express. which are TINY regional/charter airlines.

Something just doesn't compute here . . .

Btw, not to be nitpicky, it's simply Milan, not Milán.

I repeat the call for your screenshot. It's extremely hard to follow as I feel the details keep changing.

Good luck.

The detalls are not changing but a lot of assumptions are being made.

i booked direct on an airline to fly one stop Naxos to milano. Easyjet was not on the itinerary. I paid in full for a nonrefundable flight. I’m sorry that when i type Milán my phone adds an acento. And I’m not sharing my personal detalls by showing people my booking.

Fast forward two months. The airline with when I booked direct emails me to tell me my flight has changed and they have completely eliminared the first leg and moved up the flight departure by 6 hours to an AirPort (Athens) that i can’t easily get to from where i am the night before the flight (Naxos).

I get online to check my options. I thought i saw a skypress/easyjet combo on the skyexpress website. Perhaps it was somewhere else, because it’s definitely not there now. Confusingly there is a website called eskyexpress- maybe i was looking there.I’ve emailed skyexpress through their website once and through their flight change @skyexpress.gr twice now. I tried to call them using WhatsApp and it says i have to invite them?

Why some of you are láser focused on Easyjet and insinuating that I’m making things up is befuddling. It costs nothing to be nice.

My apologies. None of us here are being mean or even trying to be hurtful. But please note that we all were trying to help based upon your actual words in all of your posts. When we probed, you insisted. When we probed again, your insistence that you had booked changed to a not a booking but something you saw.

Do you see how confusing that is for all of us trying to help you?

I did tell you to post a screenshot but with personal details redacted. I am not interested in your personal info but was interested in trying to help. As was Janis and Jean and anyone else who replied.

I hope it works out. Good luck.

Now you post "i booked direct on an airline to fly one stop Naxos to milano. Easyjet was not on the itinerary." But your original post said "the Athens leg is operated by easyjet."

I don't think we are communicating so I'll leave it to others to try and help you.

thank you. I do appreciate the help. I don’t read my original post as saying I booked a flight on Easyjet. But i understand that others didnt read it that way. My original post said only that when I went to see options after they cancelled I saw an option that included Easyjet. I thought I saw that option on the airline website. Maybe it was eskyexpress rather than sky express. Also, I can’t redact documents.

Skyexpress did get back to me. They regret that there is a misconnection due to a time change. They offer a refund, voucher, or accommodation on the next available flight.

i asked them to book us the day before and am negotiating with the hotels to change dates. What a pain.

I was going to ask what the email from SkyExpress advising of the change offered as alternatives but I'm glad to read that it was resolved and they gave some choices. Flights do change, especially when a long way out from departure, but it can be frustrating when it has a flow on effect. It doesn't seem to be too bad though, which is good. Enjoy your holiday.

Am i right that they need to get us from Naxos to Athens and if that requires an overnight they need to pay for a hotel and transport?

The free hotel situation is going to apply to any last minute changes to flight departures. Because your flight is so far in the future I seriously doubt that the airline will pay for a hotel. You have more than enough time to make changes to your reservation. T
