Sitting next to Stinky and Britney: Airline Attire

Just thought this was interesting. I personally choose clothes that are comfortable yet presentable when I fly...also clothes that don't tend to wrinkle. My mom gave me a good guideline/warning growing up: "You never know who you're gonna meet."

But, yes, I have seen my share of inappropriate airline attire. Once I saw this young woman (early 20s maybe?) dressed in pajamas at the boarding area and during the flight. So, I thought, okay fine she probably wants to be really comfortable during the flight and she must have some pants to change into before we land. I was sorely mistaken.

I couldn't care less what people are wearing on planes. There's no dresscode, if people want to look a mess and be ridiculed, that's their lookout. It's not a sophisticated bar where a dress code is required to maintain a certain atmosphere.

Planes are little more than glorified public transport.

I remeber my mother dressing us up to fly on air planes. YOu would NEVER show up in a sweat suit, etc... Boy those days are gone.
I coould really care less what people wear next to me as long as they are clean. Having said that I did sit next to a guy with cut off jeans and sandals and He had the biggest gross scars/ sores on his knees and the longest toe nails I ever saw on a man. Yuk...
I wish he had put long pants on,C'mon??

I also like to wear pajamas when I board an international flight. However, the snob that I am, I ALWAYS cover them up with a mink coat.

I suspect that the person who thinks the greatest thing to buy in Vienna is Helmut Lang is more than a little interested in what other people are wearing everywhere they go, the comments here notwithstanding.

I agree that planes ARE public transport..but they're FAST!

I LOVED the comment about the mink coat!!!!!
