Simple question: daylight in Scotland

Will be in Scotland mid-september, and I have a real simple question. What time does it get dark in mid-september? Trying to plan out some driving day trips but prefer to be back at "basecamp" before total darkness.

thank ye kindly

Just got back from Edinburgh and it was getting dark at around 8 - 8.30 pm or so yesterday. A very rough guess says you're probably looking at darkness falling around 7 - 7.30 by mid September.

The fall equinox is around September 22, so expect approximately equal periods of daylight and darkness then. I'd guess you'll have decent light until seven-ish.
For specific sunrise and sunset times anywhere in the world, Ask Jeeves "what time does the sun rise and set in [city] on [date]?" Or Google "sunrise sunset computer."

kayd is right. Fall equinox means that day and night are equally long ALL OVER THE WORLD. So, in mid-September in gets dark in Scotland about the same time it gets dark where ever you live.
