Australia also has a Woodenbong.

I worked in a place once where 2 guys job-shared whose names were Dave Allcock and Jim Balls. Didn't do to mention them by surname only, in the same sentence.

It should be Blue Ball, PA (not Blueballs)...there seems to be a tad more decorum in the former!

Nearby to Blue Ball there is a town called Bird-in-Hand (PA). These are both Pennsylvania Dutch names.

artstuff, does your mom know you are playing on the computer?

You seem to have an unhealthy and immature fixation with this stuff.

Your slam on the other post about
so many worldly travelers not being able to answer your bizare austria question was very silly.

Lake Chaugagaugmanchaugagaugchabungagungamaug. It's in MA. It means "I fish on my side, you fish on your side, and nobody fishes in the middle"

In Michigan, there is a chain of banks called the "5th 3rd Bank". Is this a place you entrust with your money?

Funniest darn thing -- we were just in Chicago last weekend and walked by the Fifth Third Bank. Very strange name, I thought.

Since this has re-surfaced, I'll add Ducktown and Turtletown in southeastern Tennessee: both are not far from Copper Hill. My spouse was born in Ducktown, near the copper mines. Quite a place.

not silly as in "rude", maybe, but cornwall has some odd ones - 'flushing' and 'come-to-good', both near truro i think.

and thinking about it 'tooting' in south london is pretty silly...
