Silly fashion question - boots in Paris

Will medium-heeled black boots be appropriate to wear in Paris for a Sept. 13th trip? I'm wavering about bringing them, because (1) I'm not sure the weather will be cool enough for boots, (2) I'm not sure Parisians still consider it "summertime" in September therefore making boots unseasonal, and (3) boots take up a lot of room in a suitcase. However, I love wearing my boots with everything, so if they're appropriate season-wise then I'm inclined to bring them...they're comfortable and versitile. Any comments on this oh-so-important subject?

If they are comfortable to wear walking around then by all means bring them if you want. I think they might be bulky in your suitcase but if you have the room go for it. I have been in Paris in September and it has been pleasant before. I remembered it to be warm however. Have fun on your trip.

PS You could always leave your boots at home and see what is being worn and buy something while you are there...just a thought

I took my comfortable short boots to Edinburgh two weeks ago, and I was very glad I had them. It *poured*, and those were my only rain-proof shoes.

I took my favorite "comfortable" boots with medium heels to Europe and after one day, I packed them up and stuffed them in my bag not to be worn again. Seems like when I am not on a trip I don't walk around constantly so they seemed comfortable and are for short periods. But wearing them all day of walking around just were too tiring and made my feet sore. Just a warning.

Very true about the questionable comfort level of boots...however mine are by Ecco and they really are comfortable (and non-ugly, if you can believe it!) Of course, I haven't worn them on European cobblestone streets, either. Maybe they'll be torture chambers after a day on rough streets!
