Siena to Budapest?

I will need to travel from Siena, Italy to Budapest. I'm not interested in the cheapest way but the quickest. Unfortunately, it seems to me that if I want to fly I would need to get to an Italian airport. Are there flights from Florence to Budapest? If I first have to go by train to get to an airport maybe a train would be easier for the entire trip? How long would it be?

The best way to reach florence from Siena is the bus Firenze rapida that run like three every hour and leaves you at the train station in Florence. Their is a train from Florence to Budapest http://reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/que...t!&start=1

I would suggest that you fly though...20 hours is a long ride

Joanne - There are no flights from Florence.

Malev and SkyEurope fly from BOLOGNA.

Otherwise there are other options from ROME FCO & Ciampino.

Hope this helps ...

WillTravel- Why didn't I read these replies sooner? I spent 4 hours searching for a connection between Pisa and Budapest and your suggestion found a way! Not to be ungrateful BUT is Condor a company that has a safety record? I fly ALOT but read about airlines that scare even the experts. Any response before I pay up?

Condor is somehow related to Lufthansa and Thomas Cook and has an excellent safety record.

You said "the quickest" not "the safest"

Sorry..couldn't resist. I've used Condor once in the past and had absolutely no qualms about doing so, especially after the flight. Smooth and no problems.
