Siena, Italy

We are meeting friends in Siena,Italy for the day. What would be tops on your list of attractions to see? Do you have a favorite restaurant. Has anyone seen the film about the horse race?

I would think that the Duomo,Piazza del Campo and the
the Palazzo PUblico in the same piazza are the top attractions.
Osteria La Caiacchiera is very nice and favored by local
addressÑ cosga di San Antonio 4 =
Just walking is a wonderful experience.

Hi JSWAIN after I recommended the Osteria La
Caiacchiera I checked in Yahoo travel to see how it is rated today and was delighted to find out that things have not changed, they said among many more good things:
:gastronome;s delight you spend little and eat well:...You might like to make a reservations. Have a good time.

Is it easy to find parking in Sienna... We will have a rather large van. We opted for the 9 pax instead of the 7 pax due to the fact that we have 6 adults each with a piece of luggage. Hope we dont regret the bigger vehicle.

Always love a good restaurant tip! FOund one here: Osteria La Caiacchiera it is!

A fantastic restaurant in Siena is:

Osteria Le Logge
Via del Porrione, 33, off piazza Il Campo

Excellent service and excellent food! We had lunch there in July and we couldn't fault it.

There is loads of parking in Siena. We parked in the football stadium car park, it's massive.

It is not easy to drive a large van in Europe, you know that I guess that if you can park in the outskirts of cities is will help. Once in the old part of towns it is going to be difficult I imagine. Good luck.
Tell us is La Caiacchiera is still as good as it was....Oh...I wish I could be having lunch in there any time soon.
